I have built a trellis with Hog wire fencing so that I can have a wall of green! It's attached to my railing so that it is raised about 6' high.
Unfortunately I gave up the community garden plot this year. The city raised the prices of the plots, my gardening buddies moved out of town and I started to feel like the garden was just too far away from home.
So now I have a 15' x 5' area I call my garden! And I just have to walk 10' from my kitchen to get fresh veggies and herbs, where as before I was biking 2 miles. I have peas growing beautifully outside that I planted in early February. Many of my herbs are filling out in their pots and my blueberries are looking beautiful!
